10 Ways to an Organized Bathroom
I like to store as little as possible on the bathroom counter and as much as possible under the sink. Organizers will add more storage space to your bathroom and lend a hand in tidying up the room. Check out these 10 ways to an Organized bathroom.
1. Utilize the cabinet door.
Hang hair dryers, curling irons and tuck bath supplies into a cabinet drawer organizer. Make sure you are using sturdy storage solutions that can withstand daily use.
2. Store toilet paper in a basket.
This is great for guests and you to be able to just grab a new roll when necessary. This will save storage space in the linen closet and under the sink which can then be used for less frequently-used items.
3. Hang bottles of cleaning products.
A simple tension rod can be used to hang cleaning supplies so they are easier to grab. This is also a great spot to hang cleaning gloves to dry after use.
4. Use trays to corral small items.
Create a home for your nail polishes, make up brushes, Q-tips and cotton balls. Trays make everything look neater.
5. Hang a shower caddy for extra storage.
Don’t over-clutter the shower, instead contain the items you use daily in your shower, and corral them in a caddy.
6. Use a lazy-Susan to make things easier to reach.

7. Create a First Aid kit.
You don’t think about a first aid kit until you need it, so make it stand out by clearly labeling it as first aid. A simple red cross on top should do the job, and make sure to re-stock 2-3 times a year. This is one of those items you don’t think about too often but it vitality important.
8. Store your hair dryer in a caddy.
Your hair dryer will never again get in the way in the bathroom if you install a simple hair dryer caddy on the inside door of your bathroom cabinet. You could also try a hook to hang it in place on the wall.

Something cute will not look so utilitarian and maybe even make a fashion statement. There’s something so simple about grouping everything you need together into a bucket, and it makes things so much easier to put away when you’re done using them.
10. Install roll out storage under the sink.
A roll-out bin will allow you to more easily use and access the storage space in the back of your under-sink cabinet.

My sister has a wicker laundry basket where she stores toilet paper in her downstairs bathroom. It’s great because it’s discreet and it holds a lot so she doesn’t have to replenish it all the time. I’m not sure if other guests would think to look there, but it works for me!

Small rooms like bathrooms means we’ve got to use every inch, right? I was in a lovely bathroom a couple of weeks ago. It had marble counters and beautiful finishes, but no drawers. To me, that was a mistake. Drawers are perfect for the kinds of small things we use in bathrooms. Crazy as it may sound, I even put an outlet in the back of one of my drawers so that I could just keep my hair dryer in there. It works for me:) Many bathrooms lack sufficient storage, so great to give these options!! Stay healthy!
Seana, we are in the middle of a bathroom reno and those are two things that I’m adding – drawers and an outlet. I’m excited for the change.
It’s useful to consider minimal storage for the bathroom with a remote place to store the extras. And these days, we’re all thinking about extras, especially when it comes to toilet paper. People are stockpiling in ways I’ve never seen before! I use a small basket in my closet that holds about four rolls of toilet paper and an extra box of tissues. Before the last one runs out, we replenish the bin from the main supply that we store in the laundry room. It works. I do something similar for cleaning products. I have a small open container that fits well and hides next to the bathroom vanity. It contains a few supplies with the overflow stored remotely.
I keep those extra supplies in a closet as well.
Aw, the bathroom, thank you so much for sharing my bathroom posts, Janet! I really appreciate it. As you can see, I find that I love to organize places that I like to take care of myself. =) It not only helps me but it also helps my family. You see, we have one big bathroom for four people.

Excellent advice. I’ve rejected gorgeous apartment options because the bathrooms were too small, had no drawers or under-sink space, and lacked the opportunity to use vertical space. Bathrooms are essential spaces!
I agree. I moved into my house 27 years ago. None of the bathrooms had drawers or anything customized. The only saving grace was that our 2 main bathrooms had linen closets in the bathroom. It has been wonderful. We are renovating the master bath now and I’m adding a new vanity with drawers so that the items I use often can be tucked away and out of sight.
First of all, I love your videos. Such a great introduction to your post. I checked off everything on your list. My favorite is the use of a Lazy Susan. I have a cabinet in the master bathroom and I have a Lazy Susan on every shelf. Organized by category. I never met a Lazy Susan that I didn’t like and I use them wherever I can.
