What's Your Next Action?
Reaching a goal can be tough. Life gets in the way. At times that goal can seem so far away. You always hear, break it down into small pieces and eventually you’ll reach your goal. But how do you stay motivated to continue when the going-gets-tough?
It’s the same for me, but recently I read a sentence, and I found it to be a good way to get me to focus on doing something everyday to reach my goals. Here it is . . .
“The one action I need to take today in order to move closer to my goal is ________.”
I typed it up and pasted it in a prominent place in my office. Every morning I look at it and decide what I can do to move forward. Some days it’s making a phone call. Other days it may be locking myself in my office for an hour or two to push through a more difficult task. Whatever it is, it’s getting me closer to my goal.
