Team Work at It’s Best

Team Work at It’s Best

A special project has kept me quite busy lately.

Recently I was contacted by Sarah Himan from the Quality of Life Foundation. They help disabled veteran’s and their families.

The Quality of Life Foundation’s mission statement:

“Our aid is tailored to each family’s unique situation.  Common challenges include – emotional and physical fatigue, lack of adequate home health care, feelings of isolation and lack of resources to meet quality of life needs.”

Sarah wanted to help a veteran who’s house had gone into disarray. Consequently as a result of health issues and physical disabilities, Rina the veteran needed help cleaning and organizing her home. Along with her caregiver Jenny they were grateful for our assistance.

Ten Organizers from the Washington DC Chapter of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) stepped in to lend a hand.  They volunteered their time service over two days to get Rina’s home organized. Indeed, a great team effort!

Similarly, we had several members offer help above and beyond the initial request.

This included:

Thank you to all who helped Rina and Jenny obtain a more organized, functional home.  Undoubtedly, team work at it’s best!

Do you struggle with getting and staying organized?

Are you afraid to start an organizing project just to be overwhelmed or lose motivation in the middle, to be left with even more chaos? You are not alone. That’s the fear of most people who don’t have time to allot to a big organizing project.
