Sunroom Organizing

Quite a while back, we helped a client change a beautiful sunroom that she had not been using, into a sitting room that she could enjoy.

Her chaise lounge chairs in the room were not comfortable. Therefore she never sat in the room. She was using it as storage space.

Wonderful built-ins were on the wall opposite the fireplace. They had been custom-made to fit her sewing machine and a fold-out cutting table. The problem was that she no longer sewed and had really stopped using the storage for what it was intended.

Basic Organization went to work.  As a first step, we discussed the client’s intended use of the space. Asking her what was working, and what wasn’t working. And finally what her ideal sunroom would look like in her imagination.

It didn’t take long really. Once we had a goal to focus on, we could easily work toward it.

The room was quite cluttered with items that did not support her sunroom’s goal. So we found new homes for items that the client wanted to keep.  We got rid of the uncomfortable furniture and moved in the love seat and did some rearranging of other pieces.

The storage built-ins received a complete overhaul working with the room’s new focus. So pretty!

Now, with so much space, she can create whatever she wants with the ease of a clear and functional area.
