Keeping Socks Together

Socks can be a source of frustration when you are trying to stay organized. That one or two that seem to lose their mate in the wash, never to be found again. Then there is pairing up after the laundry. Don’t get me started!

But there are ways to solve these issues. Try one of these solutions for keeping socks together.

  • When doing laundry, put all the socks into a lingerie bag or try Sock Locks, little plastic disks that firmly grip each pair. You could also use a safety pin to do the job as well.
  • Keep a bag in your laundry room for singles, so if a missing one resurfaces you will have the mate.
  • When kids remove the socks have them stuff them into their shoes, so they will stay put.
  • When all else fails, do what I call sock amnesty. Meaning, get rid of all your socks and purchase only white and black socks of one style. You’ll never have to pair up socks again!
