The Right Tools Make All the Difference

It is easier to live a simpler life when you organize correctly and according to your own personal style.

Give yourself the benefit of using the right tools for the job. Sometimes what system you use (and what works) will depend on obtaining those “right tools”. Whether using a label maker to communicate to family members where things go or purchasing just the right file folders to work in your file cabinet, it’s important to shop for the right supplies and to be open to making changes when things don’t work for you.

Make a list of tools that you need. This will mean that you have to do some hard work first. Sort your items. Know how much you need to keep. Don’t waste time “picking up” some bins or pretty file folders until you know what and how many your need. Sometimes that latest gadget won’t be a good fit for you. Take the list with you when shopping.

The right tools can make all the difference in maintaining an organized space.

Are you afraid to start an organizing project just to be overwhelmed or lose motivation in the middle, to be left with even more chaos? You are not alone. That’s the fear of most people who don’t have time to allot to a big organizing project.
