This is a very important bag, although school isn’t out in CT until June 19th! As soon as my girls were old enough to carry a bag, I got them their own pool bags. I still had to carry most of the stuff around, but it got them in the mind of bringing what they needed (or wanted.) Each season brings about a new bag and a new list, right?

Yes! A new bag with each season, but the beach bag is my favorite!

This is a great thing to do before those many trips to the pool or beach. It could even be something one has their kids so they know what is in the bag too. Thanks for sharing.

Sabrina, you had the same thought as Seana. This is a great responsibility for kids.

Love this video! Seems like I always forgot to include change when I used to pack a bag for everyone, so that’s a great reminder.

      Sara –
Keeping a list (and adding to it when necessary) is an easy way to stay organized.

I’m looking forward to my annual beach weekend with my girlfriends. Some of the other things I always take to the beach are a bottle of water, some small snacks (nuts, dried or fresh fruit), something to read, my journal, and pens. And a recent addition is a pair of over-the-counter sunglass readers. These are excellent! I can now read or write AND see what I’m doing. Woohoo!!!!

Great additions Linda. Enjoy your girlfriends beach weekend!

I don’t get to a pool or a beach often enough to bother keeping a bag packed, but this list will be handy even for those “one off” special days!

Janet, it’s also a good idea to have a bag for activities like camping, going to the gym and attending a regular meeting of any kind.
