Closet Makeover – Part 2 of Series

Closet Makeover – Part 2 of Series

By Basic Organization team member Tracy Wells.

For those of you who are following the Closet Makeover series, this is part two of advice on how to organize your wardrobe and closet. Last month we went over the guidelines on how to only keep the clothes that fit you in your clothes closet. Now you have all the clothes that fit you in your closet. Let’s discern if you would like to go a step further in analyzing them. For instance, you may ask yourself how often you wear that piece of clothing. If you haven’t worn a piece in the last 2 years then maybe it’s time to get rid of it to make room for the clothes that you do wear.

How do the clothes in your closet make you feel? Do you feel good in those clothes or are you uncertain? Do your clothes enhance your body shape or do they point out certain flaws? What about the color? Does it flatter your features?  Are you certain that it’s a good color for you? You may also ask yourself if your clothes reflect your personality. Perhaps these are questions that you have difficulty answering. Perhaps you never thought about them before or is it difficult for you to judge without a second opinion? After all, it’s nice to have someone give you an honest opinion about how the clothes look on you. Someone who isn’t afraid to be truthful. More than likely they have experience in helping people discover their best choices for clothes and color.

Stay tuned for next month’s Closet Makeover series where we talk about learning what your best colors are. We will also discuss the impact that color can have on your appearance. Congratulations on completing Closet Makeover-Part 2 of the Series.
