Get Organized in 2012 – Week 50

It’s Mid-December. Do you feel the pressure? This can be a very stressful time of year – we expect so much from ourselves. Going above and beyond our normal activities and doing it all with style and grace can wear-you-out!
So this week, let’s keep it simple.
Week 50
Day 1. You can do this one each day, in only a few minutes. Keep clutter at bay by picking up 5 things and put them where they belong.
Day 2. A Christmas gift idea! If you don’t already have one, purchase or make a memento box for each member of your family. After the holidays you can start the practice of adding items to the boxes. I would suggest that the boxes be no larger than 50 quarts in size, with a lid and made of plastic.
Day 3. While shopping, consider what you are buying. Don’t buy anything that you know will later become clutter.
Day 4. Visit your tablecloth and linen stash. How do you store them? If needed, find an appropriate place. You can fold and put on a shelf or in a bin under a bed, or hang in the closet.
Day 5. Check your calendar to review your upcoming activities. Make notes or a to-do list that will support the activities on your calendar. A little review and planning will go a long way to keep you organized through the holidays.
